Dear Members:

May 11th, 2018, is going to be a big day for the campground, weather permitting. This is the day the club has planned for the fish delivery for the lake; any members who can be present to help put them in the lake are greatly
appreciated. Last year everyone who came really enjoyed it.

May 11th will also be the first hunting meeting, in the camp house, in the back, at 6 pm. The next hunting meetings will be July 15th and September 2nd. If members want to stay on the hunting list (this includes waiting list), you must attend at least one meeting.

The water at the campground has been turned on. This usually means campers have begun camping. This being said, the club is asking that members clean up around their campers and their campsites. Yards should be maintained to keep the campground looking nice and respectable. For ATVs/ICE, the Foleys will typically be available at their camper by the pavilion Friday nights until 8 pm, Saturdays from 8am-8pm, and Sundays, 8am-noon. This is tentative, as there are always things that come up, so if unable to reach out to Jeff about your ATV please contact a board member for further guidance. As of the last board meeting, there is only ice in the camp house in the back right now. You can see Jeff Foley in the front or Janet Stokes or Don “Cracker” McCracken in the back to purchase.

Again, weather permitting, Memorial Day weekend activities are as follows: Saturday: 9:30am10:30 am the fishing derby, old-fashioned games for kids from 3pm-4pm, BYOD (Bring Your Own Dish) potluck at 5:30 pm, DJ from 7pm-11pm. Sunday: Beach party 3pm-4pm. Everything should be summarized in greater detail on the Facebook page closer to the date. Memorial Day weekend is open to friends and family to bring ATVs; individuals must show proof of insurance, sign a waiver, and pay a $10/ATV fee. If they later join as a member, they will get an ATV sticker free. One of the temporary campsites is already reserved for Memorial Day weekend, which leaves two left, so reserve now!

Many may have noticed the website has been re-designed. It is now more compatible with mobile devices. If anyone wants pictures posted, please submit through the website to our new web manager, LeeAnn Porter. We thank her for taking on this task!

The May 12th board meeting will be held at the KCCSC clubhouse at the usual 9 am time. The June meeting will be the first Saturday of the month, on June 2nd at 9 am. All members are welcome to attend.

April showers bring morels! Happy hunting.
