The weather is starting to warm up and camping season is nearing!! With that being said, please start cleaning up your campsites so we can have a nice looking campground. The water is turned on. Please let a Board Member know of any water leaks. It is also time to start mowing, anyone able to help pick up sticks from the park, ball diamond, and tent area would be greatly appreciated by the Mowing Committee.
Upcoming workdays are April 27th, May 4th, and May 18th. Lunch will be provided. Fish for the restocking of the lake is scheduled to be delivered Friday, May 10th some time mid-morning. All help is welcome and appreciated, this is a fun time for everyone assisting or watching. Justin Williams will be selling the ice up front and Janet Stokes & Victor Gray will sell it in the back.
The first Hunter’s meeting will be Saturday, May 11th at 6 pm. Future meetings will be July 12th and September 8th both at 6 pm. All current hunters and ones on waiting list MUST attend one or they will come off the hunting list.
We still need someone to take on the Shower Committee, please let a Board Member know if you can help with this. Steve Lee also needs some help with the Beach as the steps and wall are going to have to be completely redone. BE CAREFUL on the trails, many still need to be cleared of trees and debris. If we do not get help with these committees and maintain our campground the Board may have to hire these jobs out which in turn will increase our Social and Camping Fees (we truly hope to avoid this)! Please see Star Norton at campsite #61 to get your ATV checked for a fee of $5. You need to pass a noise decibel test and show proof of insurance in order to receive the 2019 Sticker. This should be done prior to Memorial Day weekend so that Star and her family may enjoy themselves.
REMINDER-ALL PETS ARE TO BE KEPT ON A LEASH AT ALL TIMES AND SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO GO IN OTHER CAMPERS AREAS WITHOUT THEIR OK!! Any confined pet control areas must be pre-approved by the Board. See Rule 9A & 20B.
Opening weekend will be May 25, 26, 27. So far a DJ/Dance, Fishing Derby, and Breakfast is planned. If you would like to head up an activity for kids or adults please let a Board Member know prior to the May 11 meeting.
Next Board Meeting will be Saturday, May 11th at 9 am at the Clubhouse. All welcome and encouraged to attend!
