Reminder-If you were a 2019 Social Member and did not turn in a 2020 Application with your Social fee/voucher by March 1st, you will now be considered a NEW member and have to come to a meeting with a sponsor to rejoin. Members who had camping lots in 2019 that did “not” turn in 2020 application/social fee will be receiving certified letters with specific instructions of what they need to do.
Our first workday will be Saturday, March 28 with a rain date of Sunday March 29, sign up by 9am at Clubhouse. This will be your first chance to earn a $50 2021 Voucher toward your Social fee. Susie will be planning a meal for this day. Janet Stokes will be holding a Grounds Committee meeting at 9am that same morning and would like all that plan to help with mowing/grounds this year to be present so a tentative schedule can be planned. Future work days are planned for the following Saturdays: April 4, April 25 and May 16. All help is welcomed and encouraged. We also encourage camping members to start cleaning up their lot areas so that everything is looking good for Opening Weekend. *Remember-working on your own lot does NOT count toward a 2021 Voucher.* Two porta potties are being ordered, one for the tent area and one to be placed near the pavilion. These are not intended to be used by members with a camper just because they do not want their own blue tanks to get full, these are intended for use of those who do not have access to a camper. Also, both shower rooms in Clubhouse basement have bathrooms and are available to EVERYONE.
With all the wet weather we have had we ask that all be aware and avoid driving on the soft areas of the campground, please stay on the roads as much as possible.
Hunters-ALL hunters and those on waiting list must attend a 2020 Hunting Meeting. These will be held on May 9 at 6pm, July 10 at 6pm & September 6 at 6pm at the back camphouse. Please make sure that you have the tree marked that you want to place your deer stand on for the 2020 Season marked before the September meeting, this will be discussed more during meetings.
ATV/UTVs-Note that all Board Members will now have access to the 2020 stickers, decibel tester and money. This will be kept locked up in office of Clubhouse which only Board Members have access to, so all testing will take place at the Clubhouse starting today. If a Board Member is not available when you are there, you will have to wait for when one is available. The cost remains the same at $5 per ATV/UTV prior to Memorial Day Weekend and $10 after that (unless you purchase a new one-stays $5). Remember you must show proof of insurance on that ATV/UTV at time of test.
The front gate will be left open for the Season and the water to clubhouse will be turned on March 15. We hope to have water to the campground on by end of March, weather permitting. We have had a lot of discussion on the smell of the water and have received input/direction from very knowledgeable people on this matter and hope to get this issue resolved soon.
4H will be using the Range on April 18 from 2-4pm, they will then use it the 2nd Saturday of each month May thru Sept.
